5. Consumer rights in the United Kingdom: right to cancel and statutory rights

Consumers resident in the United Kingdom benefit from the rights set out in the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013:

  • Right to cancel: You have the right to cancel a distance contract within 14 days of receiving the product by informing us of your decision with a clear statement. Please note that, for health protection or hygiene reasons, the right to cancel does not apply to cosmetic products whose seal or protective packaging has been opened after delivery.
  • Statutory rights: Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the products we supply must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If a product delivered to you is faulty or does not match what was agreed, you may be entitled to a repair, a replacement, a price reduction or a refund, in accordance with the conditions set out by law. These statutory rights are not affected by any commercial terms.

6. Limitation of liability

We aim to keep the website available at all times, except during planned or unplanned maintenance or in the event of circumstances beyond our reasonable control (force majeure). To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from interruptions to the service, from use of the website or from the inability to use it. This limitation of liability does not restrict your statutory rights as a consumer under mandatory consumer protection law, nor does it exclude or limit any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

7. External links

This website may contain links to third-party websites. We do not control their content and accept no responsibility for them in any way.

8. Data protection and cookies

We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Electronic direct marketing is only sent with your explicit consent, in accordance with applicable law (in the United Kingdom, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR); in Canada, CASL). The data protection supervisory authority in the United Kingdom is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO, ico.org.uk). For more information on how we process personal data and on your rights as a data subject, please see our Privacy Policy.

This website uses cookies to run the online shop, save your basket and collect visitor statistics. Non-essential cookies are only set with your consent, in accordance with PECR. You can manage or block cookies in your browser settings; please note, however, that some features of the website may not work properly without cookies.

9. Governing law and dispute resolution

This website is governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. If you are a consumer resident in the United Kingdom, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection afforded to you by the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

If a dispute arises, we ask that you first contact our customer service team. If the matter cannot be resolved through discussion, as a consumer in the United Kingdom you can obtain free advice from Citizens Advice (www.citizensadvice.org.uk), which may refer your complaint to Trading Standards. You also have the right to bring the matter before the competent court in the place where you live.
